A thought for the weekend

It's the weekend! and a rather damp one at that.
So I was doing, what I usually do, when I'm short on inspiration. Searching pinterest. . . . And I happened to come across this little gem, of a saying.
Now that I'm older, this saying is something I defiantly strive for in my everyday life.
I know that everyone likes to have fun, meet new people and try new things. But I sometimes feel, that people can get fun & exciting confused with drama. It's easy to get caught up in it all. wasting a lot of energy, on who said what and when they said it. But if you're anything like me it can be such a drain on you're energy. When it  could be spent on doing something way more positive.
However on the other hand, I feel people can often confuse the word calm, with boring. Because it's associated with playing it safe, & not taking risks. But I think that's not true at all.
Choosing to have a calm and happy existence wherever, however possible, sounds like a truly amazing idea to me. I think choosing to be calm, and being able to distance yourself, from unnecessary  drama helps put other things, that happen in our day to day lives into perspective. So you can spend more time focusing on the 'good things' that are going on, instead of the negative.
And to be able to say I'm happy being this way, is the ultimate goal surely.  To me, being calm doesn't mean being boring. It means feeling comfortable and relaxed in my homemade environment.
