Hair Care Routine & Tips On How To Beat Split Ends

Hello Ladies & Gents,

So I thought it was time to do a blog on my current hair care, as in the near future I want to review a couple of new products. This month I am on a quest for perfect hair! & I'm going to give it my best shot! I will link all the products down below.

I have mid-long hair, which I am trying to grow. I am blonde, I have been blonde for about 2 years. I have my hair cut & coloured every 12 weeks-ish. I have thick but fine hair, which gets knotty if left un-brushed for half a day. My hair has a natural wave to it, which I find is the bane of my life! I think that just, about covers everything.

                                                                   Shampoo & Conditioning;

I tend to wash my hair 3-4 times a week, as I have read it's better for you As it doesn't strip you're hair of it natural oils..
Also because I find my hair is quite dry from the dye at the ends, and I've read over washing it can dry it out even more.
 I use 2-3 sets of shampoo & conditioner. I use Paul Mitchell Super Strong, and a more budget friendly shampoo & conditionerHerbal Essences Beautiful End's.
I also use a boots almond and coconut hair mask, which I use once a week,  I leave it in for about 20 mins or so.
When conditioning I make sure to condition from the ears down all the way down to the ends. I always make sure to run a wide toothed comb my hair, after apply conditioner. When I rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I always try to use, luke warm/cool water.

                          Hair Care Products;

After I towel dry my hair, I apply a leave in conditioner, at the moment I am using the Charles Worthington hair care, which also acts as a hair protectant.
 I apply a pea-sized amount in between my hands & run them throw my hair. I then comb it through.
I also Paul Mitchell Super strong liquid treatment which I spray throughout the mid - ends of my hair, & give a final comb through.

                                    Drying & Styling;

I try to let my hair air-dry naturally, & not to blow dry it.
 Just to try and prevent any extra heat damage.
 But I do use hot tools, straightening / curling irons.
So before styling I always use a heat protectant. At the moment, I'm using Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel. It works for me as a hair protectant.

                                        Hot Tools;

I use Remington CI9532 Pearl Pro Curl, curling wand.
Which is one of the nicest curling irons I've used, it give nice loose curls/waves & for  £26, was money well spent.
For straightening I use GHD straighteners. I have the Pink Orchid limited edition set. Both products claim, to be better for hair.
As both products, have a protective coating on the irons, claiming to reduce hair damage.

 Hair Care Tips;

A major tip, that I have picked up, from Youtube and countless blogs, which has really worked for me, is trimming my own split ends.
 Using a pair of hair dressing scissors (You can pick them up, anywhere for next to nothing from, boots/ superdrug/ online.) Every so often, when you see a split end, take the scissors, and just nip off the split end.
 Just be careful not to go overboard. As you can change the shape of you're hair!
By doing this, it keep's you're hair looking healthy and makes it so you don't have to go and get a trim as regularly.
Disclaimer; Do NOT if you are 16 years old.

That's it for my hair care routine. Let me know what you think, & if you have any tips, or tricks for growing you're hair, or keeping coloured hair feeling soft.
